The summer is finally here, so what better way to celebrate than to lock yourself into the air-conditioned darkness of your local Cineplex and watch a dark-as-hell film about a hard-as-nails grandmother seeking revenge on some unscrupulous sorts that stole everything from her?

Get ready to be captivated by the story of Ann, a grandmother betrayed by a corrupt legal guardian. Sent to a care home and stripped of her belongings, Ann refuses to be defeated.

With the help of her granddaughter Emma, she embarks on a quest for justice, earning the nickname 'The G'.

The plot is inspired by the real-life scandal of exploitation of older people in the US's legal guardian system.

The G is a dark thriller that has already made its mark in the film festival circuit. Written, directed, and produced by Karl R. Hearne, it stars Dale Dickey as a grandmother seeking revenge. It is set to hit theatres in June 2024. Click on the image below to watch the trailer.
