On 12th June 1987, 'Predator' starring Arnold Schwarzenegger was released.
'Predator' is a science fiction action film directed by John McTiernan. As well as Schwarzenegger it also featured Carl Weathers, and Jesse Ventura, among others.
The film follows a team of elite commandos who find themselves being hunted by a technologically advanced extraterrestrial creature known as the Predator in a Central American jungle.
The story begins when Dutch (played by Schwarzenegger) and his team, which includes Dillon (Weathers), Mac (Ventura), Blain (Sonny Landham), and others, are tasked with rescuing a cabinet minister held captive by guerrilla forces. As the team members are picked off one by one, Dutch deduces that they are facing a highly advanced creature that uses advanced camouflage technology and thermal vision to track and kill its prey. Dutch, armed with his military expertise and survival skills, sets out to defeat the Predator and protect his remaining team members.
