Well, look what arrived today!!! I usually start these mini-reviews with some tale of hearing the group on BBC6Music or supporting another band but this time I can proudly say I got into The Rotary Fifth because my good friend Jonathan is ON the album. Yup, Mr. Silvermoon is the provider of all things guitar on this LP.
So, what does it sound like? Think experimental psych indie pop, dreamy synth sounds and floating, ethereal vocals with a sprinkling of jazz beats to catch you off guard. A bit Jane Weaver, hints of Goldfrapp and a smattering of Serge Gainsbourg electronica.
