I’ve always kinda liked First Aid Kit without taking the plunge to actually putting my hand in my pocket to pay for their music but that changed when I heard ‘Angel’ the first single from this, their fifth album.
If you haven’t heard of them before, First Aid Kit are Klara and Johanna Söderberg from Sweden who do a mean line in folk rock with a heavy dose of Americana thrown in for good measure.
On this record there are hints of Fleetwood Mac, a whiff of Joni Mitchell, a touch of Tom Petty all delivered via the sisters’ beautiful harmonies.
Their star has been rising with each release and it seems they made the jump into the mainstream after their fantastic performance at Glastonbury this summer.
