This is the 2022 remastered version released for RSD. I realise I’m going to haemorrhage cool points for buying this but, do you know what, I honestly don’t care! I had this (or at least parts of this) on a cassette in the 80s and playing it now has memories flooding back.
For those unaware, this is a remix album of their debut album, ‘Go West’ which also includes live tracks, b-sides and the odd rarity (‘One Way Street’ from Rocky IV for example).
All the big hits are here; ‘We Close Our Eyes’, ‘Call Me’, ‘Don’t Look Down’, all remixed within an inch of their life. The lesser known songs on the album sound like they should be on the soundtrack to Beverly Hills Cop (or similar), fantastically bright 80s pop.
